In 2014, Ashley lost her mother to early-onset Alzheimer's. Shortly after her loss, Ashley was approached to serve as the emcee for the 2014 Southeastern Massachusetts Walk to End Alzheimer's. She made such an impact with her story and her passion to fight, that she was invited to become the Chairperson of the entire walk.
Since then, Ashley has been actively involved in this cause. She has spoken at numerous events about her experience caring for and losing a mother to early-onset Alzheimer's at just 56 years old. She urges the public and legislators to invest in research for enhanced treatment, and hopefully, a cure.
